YANGON, July 17 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar Sepak Takraw athletes are under training at the compound of Yangon's Thuwunna Sports Ground for preparing to enter the coming 26th Southeast Asia Games which is to be held in Indonesia this year, sports circle said on Sunday.
A total of 50 athletes are being trained daily with modern methods dealing with physical strength and techniques and supervised by three coaches and three assistant coaches. ' The Myanmar Sepak Takraw Federation has planned to choose five men and five women players to take part in the Sepak Takraw World Cup to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from July 21 to 24 to seek experience from international tournaments.
Myanmar Sepak Takraw team won two golds in the 16th Asian Games held in China's southern city of Guangzhou in November last year.
