(A) The theme of the Forum:
Forum set up to clear the nature and role of advocate for action and results-oriented cooperation, chieve mutual benefit and win-win, long-term development, in accordance with the summit meeting of GMS economic corridors memorandum signed by the spirit of the forum theme of "Cooperation on an equal and mutual benefit basis towards sustainable and balanced development".
(B) The purpose of the Forum:
3M: Missions (explicit task); Mechanisms (the creation of a mechanism); Measures (measures taken). In particular, namely:
1, the establishment of a long-term mechanism. GMS cooperation mechanism on the existing effective supplement, by encouraging local governments and enterprises to participate in GMS economic cooperation, planning and policy formulation process, the formation of cross-countries of central government, local governments and key enterprises at all levels of communication and co-ordination mechanism for long-lasting.
2, to promote deeper cooperation. Through the promotion of the use of existing transport advantages, resources and location advantages, promoting GMS co-operation from "Trade Integration" to "elements of the integration of" deep-seated transformation of the service trade, labor, goods, capital, information and technology and other factors of production the free movement of creating a more favorable environment for the region and outside the region of the human resources, technology, information and funds, such as the rational use of resources to current and future transportation corridors for the further development of economic corridors to form a new economic region growth.
3, to strengthen regional cooperation. Enhance and promote the province along the corridor between GMS mutual collaboration, information sharing and dialogue, and promote the overall economic corridor along the joint development, to reduce and eliminate poverty and achieve common development.
4, action-oriented and results. To the forthcoming "GMS economic corridors to develop the Strategic Action Plan" based on practical and effective solution to the corridor in the development of key and difficult problems, take action to achieve results.
