The 12th meeting of the China-Vietnam Economic and Trade Cooperation Committee was held in Vietnam

On November 27, Chinese Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao and Vietnamese Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien co-chaired the 12th meeting of the China-Vietnam Economic and Trade Cooperation Committee in Hanoi, Vietnam. They had an in-depth exchange of views on ways to deepen bilateral economic and trade cooperation.
 
Wang Wentao said that under the strategic leadership of General Secretary Xi Jinping and General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, China and Vietnam have achieved fruitful results in trade and economic cooperation. As China and Vietnam celebrate the15th anniversary of the establishment of comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, China is willing to work with Vietnam for high-quality development of bilateral economic and trade relations. China will continue to take measures to promote unimpeded trade with Vietnam, support bilateral cooperation in railway, 5G and other infrastructure projects, accelerate investment cooperation in the digital economy and green development, and expand cooperation in agriculture, border trade, supply chains, industrial parks and at sub-national levels. China will ensure high-quality implementation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership and accelerate the development of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area 3.0.
 
Nguyen Hong Dien said that Vietnam regards China as an important economic and trading partner and is willing to deepen tangible cooperation with China in trade and investment, and under regional and multilateral frameworks, promote bilateral and regional trade and investment liberalization and facilitation, support China’s accession to the CPTPP, and hopes to further expand exports of high-quality agricultural products and industrial products to China. More Chinese enterprises are welcome to invest in Vietnam.
