Anhui's pilot FTZ sees robust foreign trade in first four months

The pilot free trade zone (FTZ) in east China's Anhui Province generated foreign trade of over 63.3 billion yuan in the first four months of 2022, up 33.3 percent year on year, local customs said.
 
Total import and export value of goods of the province grew 11.8 percent year on year to 233.25 billion yuan in the first four months of this year.
 
The pilot FTZ has launched 20 innovative measures in fields including trade facilitation, financial openness, industry integration, business environment in the first four months, according to Liu Guang, deputy head of the Anhui provincial department of commerce and deputy director of the pilot FTZ's administration office.
 
In the field of trade facilitation, the pilot FTZ has rolled out a number of innovative pilot projects on cross-border e-commerce and the China-Europe freight train services, which helped the enterprises save 363,000 yuan of transportation cost in Hefei subzone.
 
Established in September 2020 with three subzones in the cities of Hefei, Wuhu and Bengbu, the Anhui pilot FTZ has developed rapidly to become a high-level opening-up and development platform.
