Int'l retail, franchise expo opens in Vietnam's HCM City

Nearly 270 firms from 14 nations and regions are attending the 2017 Vietnam International Retail and Franchise Show which kicked off here on Thursday.

The firms are showcasing their products, equipment and technologies at over 300 booths at the expo which also consists of seminars, including one themed "Movement of Franchising -- Global and Vietnam," trade programs and the final round of a contest named Go Global Start-up.

In Vietnam in recent years, franchise has developed strongly in retail sector, especially in coffee chains, restaurants and fashion shops.

The show will last till Saturday.
