Invested and constructed by Shuifa Group, construction work of Nepal Rasuwa Bhotekoshi hydropower project, with multiple operating surfaces is in full swing, according to Shandong Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission.

The Rasuwa Bhotekoshi hydropower plant is located on the right bank of Bhote Koshi in central Nepal, about 140 kilometers northwest of Nepal's capital Kathmandu.

The power plant will have an installed capacity of 120MW and a designed annual average power generation capacity of 692 million kWh, which will be mainly supplied to the central region of Nepal. After the power plant is put into operation, it is expected to sell an average of 664 million kWh of electricity per year and generate an average annual revenue of 39.865 million U.S. dollars from electricity sales.

As the largest hydropower project constructed by Chinese enterprise in Nepal, the Rasuwa Bhotekoshi hydropower project has been selected as one of the key projects under Belt and Road framework.

The completion of the project will greatly relieve the pressure of electricity in Nepal, as well as help local economic development and improve people's livelihood in the Rasuwa region.
