New air cargo route links Sanya, Singapore

By: Belt and Road Portal   Update:2023-01-19
BEIJING, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) -- An all-cargo aircraft on Monday afternoon took off from Changi Airport in Singapore and arrived at Phoenix International Airport in Sanya, south China's Hainan Province.

It marked the official opening of the cross-border all-cargo air freight route at the beginning of 2023, linking Sanya with Singapore.

The batch of goods totaled nearly 10 tonnes, mainly including cross-border e-commerce products and duty-free goods such as cosmetics and high-end clothing products.

The opening of the air cargo route shortened the transportation time to 3 hours and greatly reduced the logistics cost.

Tianjin Air Cargo, the carrier of the air route, will operate two flights of Boeing 737 all-cargo aircraft each week to meet the demand for transportation.
