From January to September 2021, China’s FDI reached RMB859.51 billion, a year-on-year increase of 19.6%

From January to September 2021, the paid-in FDI in China was RMB859.51 billion, a YoY increase of 19.6% (equivalent to USD129.26 billion, a YoY increase of 25.2%; excluding banking, securities and insurance, same below).
 
Sector-wise, the paid-in FDI for services was RMB685.32 billion, up 22.5% YoY. The paid-in FDI for hi-tech industries increased by 29.1%, among which high-tech services increased by 33.4% and high-tech manufacturing by 15.2%.
 
Origin-wise, the paid-in FDI of BRI countries and ASEAN increased by 31.9% and 31.4% YoY respectively (including investment via free ports).
 
Region-wise, FDI in eastern, central and western China increased by 19.8%, 29% and 4.1% respectively.
