Vietnamese gov't set to borrow 15 billion USD in 2017

The Vietnamese government plans to borrow 342.06 trillion Vietnamese dong (15.05 billion U.S. dollars) in 2017, according to a borrowing and debt payment scheme recently approved by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
 
The total includes 243.3 trillion Vietnamese dong (10.7 billion U.S. dollars) in domestic loans and 98.76 trillion Vietnamese dong (4.35 billion dollars) in official development assistance (ODA) and foreign preferential loans, reported Vietnam's state-run news agency VNA on Thursday.
 
Of the sum, a total of 316.3 trillion Vietnamese dong (13.93 billion dollars) will be used to balance the state budget while some 25.76 trillion Vietnamese dong (1.12 billion dollars) is for re-lending.
