By:Xinhuanet.com   Update:2021-05-24
The RCEP (Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership) Media & Think Tank Forum was held on Sunday in Haikou, capital of south China's Hainan Province.

More than 300 delegates from countries including China, the Republic of Korea (ROK), Singapore and Indonesia participated in the forum online and offline, discussing the RCEP and Asian economic development and offering suggestions for promoting regional exchanges and cooperation.

A report, focusing on promoting high-level opening-up cooperation through the RCEP, was jointly released at the forum by China Daily and China Institute for Reform and Development.

The report recommends promoting the institutional opening-up by prioritizing rules and regulations, considering RCEP as an important platform to accelerate the progress of a "dual circulation" development pattern, and promoting bilateral, multilateral and regional cooperation related to the Hainan free trade port under the RCEP framework.

The RCEP, the world's largest free trade deal signed in November 2020, embraces the 10 members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) as well as China, Japan, the ROK, Australia and New Zealand.
