Signed by Department of Commerce of China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and General Directorate of Trade Promotion under the Ministry of Commerce of the Kingdom of Cambodia, the MOU focuses on strengthening trade promotion cooperation between Guangxi and Cambodia.

As preliminary cooperation arrangements of the MOU signed, deals were also signed between some companies in Guangxi and their Cambodian partners on cassava cooperation, agreeing on 400,000 tonnes of dried cassava chips, the first direct supply of this kind, to be exported to China for the whole year, with total value of 700 million yuan.

According to Lan Tianli, chairman of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Guangxi will continue to deepen cooperation with Cambodia in various fields such as trade in goods, trade in services, investment, e-commerce and economic technology, and work together to achieve greater development in serving and promoting economic and trade cooperation between China and Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

Cambodian government will fully support the implementation of the MOU signed on cooperation between both sides. It's expected that more enterprises in Guangxi would establish contacts with Cambodia to jointly promote more agricultural products such as cassava in Cambodia to be exported to China, said Pan Sorasak, Cambodian Minister of Commerce.
