GMS Economic Corridor Governors Forum held in Kunming

As one of the functions coupled with the expo, the GMS Economic Corridor Governors Forum, where Yunnan Governor Chen Hao delivered a keynote speech, was held in Kunming on June 10.

Adhering the principal of “wide consultation, joint contribution and shared benefit”, the forum aims to form a new engine for economic growth in the Greater Mekong Sub-region.

The governors and other provincial officials from China, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam, as well as the experts with Asian development Bank, shared their insight on the following topics, including "promotion regional connectivity”, “enhancing trade and transport convenience," and "speed-up of international production capacity cooperation”.

A consensus among the governors in the GMS economic corridor was reached at Forum.
